A Year of Grit and Growth
The 2025 season has been an extraordinary journey for our school’s
basketball team, marked by determination, growth, and the unyielding
spirit of teamwork. From the very first training session, the players
committed themselves to hard work and discipline, balancing their
academic responsibilities with the rigors of competitive sport.
Last year, in the C Division National School Games, the team achieved
fourth place in League 5 — a remarkable feat that set the foundation
for greater success. Building on this achievement, the team moved up
to League 4 this year and made history by being crowned champions, a
reflection of their steady progress and relentless drive to improve.
In addition to their National School Games triumph, the team also took
part in the Yuying Challenge Cup, where they rose to the occasion once
again. Battling against three other schools in the Under-16 category,
they displayed skill, teamwork, and composure, eventually emerging as
champions of the tournament.
The highlight of the season, however, came during the C Division
National School Games Finals, where they faced tough opponents
with courage and composure. In a thrilling match against Westwood
Secondary, our team clinched the championship title with a hard-fought
55–50 victory — a testament to their perseverance and unity.
Beyond the scoreboard, this season has been about more than just
winning. The players displayed sportsmanship, encouraged one another
through challenges, and grew not only as athletes but also as individuals.
The unwavering support from school leaders, coach, teachers, peers,
and parents fueled their success and reminded the team of the larger
community that stands behind them.
As the season closes, we celebrate not just the championship trophies,
but also the lessons learned on and off the court — resilience, teamwork,
and the belief that with dedication, anything is possible. The basketball
team has truly made our school proud, and their legacy will inspire
future players to carry the torch even higher.
