At AMKSS, Science education nurtures curiosity, critical inquiry, and innovation. Through the Sec 2 Science Investigative and
Research Work, students develop inventive thinking, teamwork, and communication skills. The Lower Secondary Science Quiz
also engages all Secondary 1 students in real-world problem-solving, helping them appreciate science’s role in sustainability
and human progress.
Our students continue to shine beyond the classroom by participating in a wide range of national competitions. These include
the Singapore Junior Physics and Biology Olympiads, International Biomedical Quiz, Elementz Competition, Singapore Youth
Science Fair, and the annual ignITE Challenge. In addition, selected students take part in the biannual National Crystal Growing
Challenge during NUS Chemistry Week, where they experience the fascinating art of crystallization.
Through these platforms, our students not only stretch their learning and deepen their scientific knowledge but also cultivate
a lifelong passion and curiosity for the natural world.
