The Aesthetics programme provides students with avenues to explore, create, and express themselves through art and music. Performing Arts-Based Learning (PABL) experiences at Secondary Two expose students to different art forms and musical cultures. Students experience a live music performance that is specially produced and staged at a professional concert venue. The performances feature a variety of musical cultures, including local or locally inspired works, to develop students’ sense of identity, appreciation and pride in our shared culture and heritage. The General Music Programme (GMP) deepens students’ appreciation of music from both local and global cultures, whilst encouraging them to express themselves confidently and creatively through musical performance and composition. Our Art Programme nurtures students’ critical and creative thinking by engaging them in meaningful art-making experiences and reflective portfolio work. Through hands-on practice and guided exploration, students learn to express their ideas visually, experiment with different media, and develop a deeper understanding of the artistic process. Students are also introduced to a wide range of art forms, from traditional to contemporary and digital, allowing them to appreciate the diversity of artistic expression and its relevance in today’s world.
