The 64th Singapore Boys Brigade Company of AMKSS nurtures a group of disciplined and well-mannered boys who seek to develop their skills further by engaging in fun and exciting activities as well as leadership developing opportunities for all to grow together. The Boys Brigade is like a band of Brothers being united together where they care for one another, going through thick and thin, conquering whatever obstacles daunting upon them.
One unique activity about us would be our pipe band, where we can expose the boys to the Bagpipes and Drums taught by professional instructors from the company Beyond the Octave. The band is being cared for and overseen by our Pipe and Drum Sergeants, who genuinely hope to bring out the musical and talented side of the boys. Just last year in November, the band performed for the company’s 30th Anniversary in front of Prime Minister Lee and important stakeholders of Teck Ghee Community Club. The band also performed for the yearly Enrolment & Dedication Ceremony where we welcomed the new Secondary 1’s and bid farewell to the outgoing Secondary 4’s.
Some of the Boys also attended the National Day Observance Ceremony at Teck Ghee Community Centre on National day, where they helped raise the flag in front of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and was a memorable and significant milestone for them. The band was also invited to perform at the school’s National Day Celebration leaving behind significant and wonderful memories.
