The 64th Singapore Boys’ Brigade (BB) Company of Ang Mo Kio Secondary School is a CCA
dedicated to developing young men of character and service. Guided by the mission “To
nurture youth, based on sound values, to lead and serve,” the Company strives to build
disciplined, respectful, and responsible boys through fun, meaningful, and challenging
activities that encourage growth in leadership and teamwork.
With a team of committed teachers, officers, alumni, and student leaders, the Company
has consistently attained the High Distinction Award — the highest accolade for BB
Companies in Singapore — for nearly a decade. Our members have also excelled in national
competitions organised by BB Headquarters (BBHQ), achieving at least a Silver Award in
every category.
Our Pipe Band, proudly sponsored by Teck Ghee Community Club, offers an unique
opportunity for members to learn the bagpipes and drums under the guidance of
professional instructors from Beyond The Octave (BTO). Led by our dedicated Pipe and
Drum Sergeants, the band aims to nurture musical talent and camaraderie among the boys.
They perform at key events such as the annual Enrolment & Dedication Ceremony, where
we welcome new Secondary 1 members and bid farewell to our graduating Secondary 4s.
This year, our Boys once again had the honour of hoisting the National Flag alongside
Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Teck Ghee National Day Observance Ceremony. The
Pipe Band also performed familiar National Day tunes for the community. Beyond that, the
band represented the Company at several BBHQ events, including the Founder’s Award
Presentation Ceremony at SAFRA Toa Payoh.
Character development remains at the heart of all our activities. Through initiatives such
as BB Share-A-Gift, BB Cares Project, and overseas immersion trips, our Boys have learnt
to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and gratitude. These experiences continue to shape
them into caring and responsible individuals.
Through these meaningful experiences, the Boys of the 64th Singapore Company continue
to grow in skill, spirit, and service — creating lasting memories and leaving a proud legacy
in their BB journey.
